Το Βρετανικό δράμα εποχής του Tom Hooper κέρδισε τα 4 μεγάλα βραβεία, Καλύτερης Ταινίας, Σκηνοθεσίας, Α’ Ανδρικού ρόλου και Πρωτότυπου Σεναρίου, ενώ επίσης 4 Oscar κέρδισε το Inception αλλά στις τεχνικές κατηγορίες (Φωτογραφία, Ήχος, Μοντάζ ήχου και Οπτικά Εφε).
Στις ερμηνείες έγιναν όλα όπως τα περίμεναν όλοι, με τον Colin Firth και την έγκυο Natalie Portman να παίρνουν τους Α’ Ρόλους και τον Christian Bale και τη Melissa Leo (και οι δυο από το The Fighter) τους Β’ Ρόλους.
Ψιλοχαμένος της βραδιάς ήταν μάλλον το The Social Network του David Fincher αφού έφυγε με 3 Oscar (Μοντάζ, Μουσικής και Διασκευασμένου Σεναρίου) ενώ ήταν ένα από τα δυο φαβορί Καλύτερης Ταινίας.
Για τον ελληνικό Κυνόδοντα, αυτό ήταν ένα πολύ όμορφο ταξίδι που τελείωσε χθες αφού η Καλύτερη Ξενόγλωσση πήγε στο In A Better World από τη Δανία.
