Τα Βραβεία Primetime Emmy γιορτάζουν φέτος τα 70 χρόνια τους και με την απίστευτη άνοδο των τηλεοπτικών προγραμμάτων τα τελευταία χρόνια, έχουν επισκιάσει τις Χρυσές Σφαίρες.
Ναι, έχουν μεγαλύτερο ενδιαφέρον οι αποκλειστικές βραβεύσεις των σειρών παρά αυτή η αλλόκοτη μίξη στα Golden Globes, εκεί που μαζί με τα τηλεοπτικά, μπορείς να δεις το The Martian να είναι υποψήφιο για καλύτερη …Κωμική ταινία!
Η απονομή θα γίνει στις 17 Σεπτεμβρίου στο Microsoft Theatre, και θα την παρουσιάσουν οι συμπαρουσιαστές του Saturday Night Live, Michael Che και Colin Jost.
Αλλά σήμερα μάθαμε τις υποψηφιότητες, σε μια συγκλονιστική χρονιά σε ότι αφορά τις τηλεοπτικές σειρές (της Αμερικής, γιατί εδώ επιμένουμε στα reality).
Τα βαριά χαρτιά Game of Thrones και Stranger Things βρίσκονται στη μεγάλη κατηγορία Best Drama Series, αλλά όχι και στις πρώτες ερμηνείες.
Αντίθετα, τα Westworld, The Crown, The Handmaid’s Tale, This Is Us και The Americans, που συμπληρώνουν την επτάδα, έχουν τους πρωταγωνιστές τους υποψήφιους.
Προσωπικά, χάρηκα πολύ για την υποψηφιότητα του Ted Danson στο The Good Place, αλλά απογοητεύτηκα που η σειρά αυτή δεν υπάρχει στις 8 υποψήφιες για καλύτερη Κωμική Σειρά.
Βλέποντας τες όμως, κατάλαβα …είναι όλες ‘αμερικανιές’, με εξαίρεση ίσως το Silicon Valley και το The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Τώρα, γιατί απουσιάζει το Tin Star, μία από τις καλύτερες crime drama σειρές της Αμερικάνικης τηλεόρασης μέχρι σήμερα, δεν το καταλαβαίνω.
